    Director: Douglas Richman, MD

    The HIV Institute is led by Dr. Douglas Richman, a pioneer in HIV research whose contributions have forever changed the face of drug development and treatment, ultimately transforming clinical advances and saving millions of lives. Dr. Richman has been named the most frequently cited HIV author in the world (Science 321:521,2008). His research lab was the first to identify HIV drug resistance and has been making breakthroughs since the first identified cases emerged almost 30 years ago.

    Administrative Director: Jennifer Yore, MPH

    As the Administrative Director for The HIV Institute and the San Diego Center for AIDS Research, Jennifer oversees program and budgetary oversight for complex research portfolios while advancing research program collaborations with community, industry, government, and academic partners, globally. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has a Master’s in Public Health  from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine
