Transgender Healthcare Symposium (Saturday, December 11 at 8:30am PT)

The UC San Diego Transgender Health Care Symposium will provide a comprehensive review of different aspects of gender-affirming medical care. This course will feature sessions on gender-sensitive cultural awareness, behavioral health care, primary care, and medical and surgical gender-affirming interventions. All topics will be presented to help providers from varied disciplines care for transgender and non-binary (NB) individuals in a sensitive and effective manner. The program will be delivered in plenary sessions followed by a brief question and answer opportunity, as well as topic-specific break-out sessions.

SD CFAR Annual Research Day

The San Diego Center for AIDS Research held its Annual Research Day on October 5, 2021. The program included a full-day symposium showcasing discoveries profoundly changing the study, treatment, and prevention of HIV throughout the world. The following presentations are available for viewing.

Owen Clinic Town Hall

The UC San Diego HIV Institute were pleased to present Laura Bamford, MD and Robin Morrisey, RN for an Owen Clinic Town Hall on Tuesday, May 18, from 12:00 – 1:00pm via zoom. Dr. Bamford is the Medical Director of Owen Clinic and an Associate Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego. Robin Morrisey is the Owen Clinic Practice Manager. They will be sharing updates about UC San Diego’s Owen Clinic.
