Crossley and Marshall Memorial Fund for HIV Research
Honoring the Memory of John and Alex
In September of 2019, Barbara Crossley established the Crossley and Marshall Memorial Fund for HIV Research in honor of her son John Crossley and his lifelong partner Alex Marshall. John and Alex were long-time residents of Austin, TX. John passed in 2004 from a brain aneurism and Alex passed in 2018 from cancer.
John and Alex lost many close friends and loved ones to HIV. At the end of his life, Alex requested he and John's estate support HIV cure research in memory of those they lost to the battle against HIV.
This fund will support HIV vaccine research at The HIV Institute.
