The UC San Diego HIV Institute (THI) has been committed to enhancing the skills of researchers and health care professionals in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of HIV disease as well as its complications and co-infections since 1996. Current HIV research is prolific and constantly evolving. To help close the research-practice gap between HIV research and clinical care, THI and the San Diego Center for AIDS Research (SD CFAR) produce a Seminar Series. These essential forums help translate laboratory and public health research into practical guidelines that improve the HIV care continuum. The series is designed to help keep clinicians and associated health professionals managing patients with HIV up-to-date on the latest clinical evidence and treatment options. Each seminar is approximately 60-90 minutes in length and eligible for one ACCME credit.
